Welcome to KENEWA
A message from our Chairperson
Karibu, and welcome to the Kenyans in New England Welfare Association. KENEWA began with twelve of us around a table in East Tamworth, agreeing that no Kenyan family in this region should face life's hardest moments alone.

In July 2026 we became an incorporated association, and since then your committee has been turning that promise into something real. Our welfare fund is now open to members, so that when bereavement, illness or hardship strikes, help is ready.
Our new members area lets you join, register your family, pay your fees and ask for support from your phone, and welfare members can now vote online on the decisions that shape the association. We are preparing our first grant applications, and we will celebrate our first Jamhuri Day as an incorporated association on 12 December in Tamworth.
None of this works without you. Whether you have lived in New England for twenty years or arrived last week, whether you are Kenyan, have Kenyan family, or simply share our values, I warmly invite you to join us today: as a free community member, or as a welfare member standing with every family in its hardest moments. Umoja ni nguvu: together we are stronger.
